Resume & Cover Letter Writing Services

Translate your unique value into materials that feel authentic to you and land strong with employers

This service is for people applying to education, nonprofit, public service, and mission-driven organizations.

I don't work on corporate, for-profit, or federal government applications. (Federal apps are a whole different beast, and corporate-speak isn't my native language.)

Not sure if your role or field fits? Reach out and we'll figure it out together.

I find it difficult to take the whole of my work experience and reduce it to a few pages for someone I've never met. I've had a rich career and I'm a whole person—more than just a bullet list!

Laura translated my unique story into documents that felt authentic to me and accessible to hiring managers—a resume and cover letter that represented my abilities better than I had on my own. In reading what Laura created, I felt much more confident hitting submit!

Three services for your application materials

Master resume

A comprehensive resume that captures your full professional story—use it as the foundation document you can customize for specific future applications.

targeted resume

A resume tailored specifically to a job or career field—your experience translated into language that speaks directly to the employer.

cover letter

A compelling case for why the employer should hire you— connecting your experience to the job without sounding like a robot wrote it.

These services are for you if you:

  • Don't feel confident writing about yourself

  • Struggle to highlight your strengths and accomplishments (because "talking yourself up" feels weird)

  • Don't have time to craft strong application materials

  • Want more of your authentic voice and self to shine through "on paper"

  • Need ATS-strong documents that work for bots and humans (without sounding like every other AI-generated resume out there)

  • Want solid examples to reference for future applications

How the process works

1

You complete an intake form

Share your current resume and/or cover letter and the role(s) you're targeting, plus answer questions that give me key information about your experience and strengths.

2

I write your resume and/or cover letter for you

Using your intake responses, I craft your resume and/or cover letter in a way that feels authentic to you while landing strong with hiring managers.

3

We have a brief follow-up call to refine & strengthen it

We'll schedule a brief follow-up call where you can ask questions about the document(s), and I can gather additional details I need to make your materials even stronger.

4

You receive your final document(s)

Polished, ATS-strong (but not AI-generic) application materials that authentically represent you—ready to submit with confidence.

I've had my own therapy practice for years — so applying to contribute to another practice felt unfamiliar. It wasn't a standard hire; they needed to see exactly what I'd bring and whether it was the right fit for their work.

Laura asked exactly the right questions, reframed my background using accomplishment-focused language, and helped me make a compelling case for what makes me uniquely valuable. I now share my resume with genuine confidence and pride.

Resume & Cover Letter Writing Specialist, Laura Litwiller, sitting smiling at the camera wearing glasses & a white top.

Hi, I'm Laura, your resume and cover letter specialist!

I've been reviewing and giving feedback on resumes and cover letters for 15 years.

Hundreds of resumes have crossed my desk—both as someone helping job seekers and as someone sitting on search committees hiring employees.

I've also received feedback from employers in the past about how strong my own application materials are. So I've been on both sides of the hiring table, and I know what works.

I find so much joy in helping other people recognize and clearly articulate what makes them stand out for a job—especially when they're convinced they have nothing special to offer. (because they always do.)
